You will be given all the help you need to understand and learn the aspects of this course whether you take it on line or in the classroom.
A marine radio is an important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures. This course can be completed online, in the comfort of your own home, or in our classroom. Upon completion of the course you must sit an exam. You will be required to print off the completion certificate and produce it to your examiner. You are able to book your exam once you have finished. The exam fee is payable direct to the RYA.
The regulations come under OFCOM and you are required by law to hold a operators certificate for which you will obtain once having completed this course.

Seatrek General Course Information
Courses taken on the water are carried out on board our 6.5 meter RIB and our 45′ Nelson. The RIB is suitable for all levels of students and has a 130hp Honda. Our Nelson has two twin Sabre’s
Shorebased courses are held either in our classroom or in hotel facilities depending on the numbers attending the course.
Times 09.00 – 17.00 hrs with a break for lunch and morning & afternoon refreshments.
Waterproof clothing is available should students not have their own. Life jackets are supplied on all courses, however, if students wish to bring their own then they are more than welcome. They will be checked by your instructor prior to going out.
There are shower and toilet facilities on site with disabled access as well. It is recommended you bring with you a warm set of dry clothes to change into, in case of inclement weather. Sun cream hat and gloves are also a must, windburn and sunburn can be sore if preventive measures are not taken.
