The RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship Course is part of the online interactive training program.
The RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship course provides an introduction to the basic skills required before taking a small boat to sea or taking an active part in running a boat. Learning about the skills of pilotage, chart plotting and buoyage it is the simplest form of navigation. Without too much effort you can build your confidence on line in the comfort of your own home. It will give you a an excellent grounding prior to going on to complete your RYA Day Skipper Theory Course
To register for your RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship course all you require is a computer, laptop, tablet or Ipad to get you started. The interactive course is fully supported by us so if you have any difficulties all you need to do is call and we will be at hand to help.
Your packs are sent out to you once your registering process has been completed and they incorporate training charts plotters and dividers along with a course book.

Seatrek General Course Information
Courses taken on the water are carried out on board our 6.5 meter RIB and our 45′ Nelson. The RIB is suitable for all levels of students and has a 130hp Honda. Our Nelson has two twin Sabre’s
Shorebased courses are held either in our classroom or in hotel facilities depending on the numbers attending the course.
Times 09.00 – 17.00 hrs with a break for lunch and morning & afternoon refreshments.
Waterproof clothing is available should students not have their own. Life jackets are supplied on all courses, however, if students wish to bring their own then they are more than welcome. They will be checked by your instructor prior to going out.
There are shower and toilet facilities on site with disabled access as well. It is recommended you bring with you a warm set of dry clothes to change into, in case of inclement weather. Sun cream hat and gloves are also a must, windburn and sunburn can be sore if preventive measures are not taken.
