The MCA STCW Elementary First Aid course is run over one day. This course will give you the skills to be able to recognise and treat an injury or illness at sea, until advance medical care can take over. It is the minimum requirement for a commercial endorsement on your skippers tickets or instructor qualification.

The MCA STCW Elementary First Aid course does not come under the 2017 Manilla agreement for refreshers however, it is good working practice to have a regular update to refresh the changes that come in over a period of time.

The MCA STCW Elementary First Aid course is intended for all seafaring personnel who need to be able to practice elementary first aid on board ship. It provides an introduction to the principles of first aid showing how to respond to the most common medical emergencies that you may face.

Need to know more about the course – detailed course syllabus for the STCW Elementary First Aid is available from the office. You can contact us on 01475 520381
